There are things we know, and things we don’t know, and things we find out.

There are things we think we know, and then we find out that… we don’t know them at all.

And then we find out.

I did not set out to become an artist. I went to University in Bulgaria and got an English degree. I love reading, writing, poetry, the Romantics. Photography came later in life, as a hobby, through a 365 project which saved me from boredom and opened a new way of seeing to me. This is how my first self-portrait was born, in response to a weekly theme. I hid my face behind a bouquet of daffodils – it felt strange to photograph my own self. Why are we so used to be seen through the eyes of another and not our own? We need mirrors, but are they always true?

DISCLOSURE

Regardless of race, gender, skin color, age, education, intelligence, emotional maturity, status, religious beliefs, or anything else we like to use to identify ourselves with and differentiate from one another, there is one major, basic, fundamental commonality we share - we are humans living on Planet Earth. Our beautiful home, blessed with amazing nature, animals and biodiversity worthy of awe and pure amazement. A work of Art, created by Source for our own enjoyment, nourishment and delight, we sometimes tend to take for granted.

How we care for our home shows our level of conscious awareness of who we are and the interconnectedness of all. When we alienate ourselves from what sustains us, when we fight, divide and conquer, when we disrespect Mother Earth and devalue life, we suffer. When we get along, plant gardens, share food, connect, exchange wisdom, laughter, kindness and joy, protect wildlife and the wild, make full use of the gifts our generous Mother shares with us for free, and treat Her with love, gratitude and appreciation, we thrive collectively and remember that God/life/divine intelligence is in everything and everyone - the Earth and all within it, is one Spirit expressing itself in a multitude of intricate, unique forms. After all, if somebody from another plant wants to come and visit, we got to have something wonderful to show for, right?
