Leaves fumbling under critters’ feet.
In an apartment
The neighbor is taking a shower
Cars going places.
In a house
Lawn mowers wait for no one
Birds singing serenades.
In a foreign place
First few awkward moments
Missing my coffee mug.
At home
The coziness of the familiar
Turning a load of laundry on.
With you
Always wonderful and new
